Need input. Investigating a Class A diesel pusher tag axle motorcoach in which to leisurely tour this beautiful country that I spent 40 years flying over at 30,000ft, but not seeing. Guess it is the late life crisis version of those typical Mid-life crisis involving the red Corvette and "Over the Hill at 50 Crisis" involving the Continental Divide and a new black Harley. Would want to carry large selection of firearms to take advantage of training (Accuracy 1st, Gunwerks, Darrel Holland, Frontsight,...) and high angle, long range shooting out west....NM, WY, MT, AZ, et el. While that far west I would like to enjoy the scenery of CA, OR, WA (no shooting, just looky-see). However, crossing those state lines would render me a felon-in-waiting due to my types of firearms and amount of ammunition on board. Could park coach holding arsenal at RV park in free state and tour those anti-freedom states in the towed Jeep. Or, could rent a storage locker in free state to store scary arsenal while touring those restrictive states. Both incur major risks of theft, with attending liability, of unattended firearms. How do others handle this situation? I imagine BRRC welcomes shooters from around the country who probably encounter this dilemma. Any input, thoughts, suggestions? Thanks.

OG,
I hope someone who travels in RVs to shooting events out west weighs in. Seems like we would have lots of members who face these same questions as they travel to matches not at BRRC.
I do not travel with firearms in an RV on weeks/month long trips. I do travel with firearms routinely, but not to left-leaning states (except to quickly cross Illinois). Of the options you mentioned, I would not leave the firearms in an RV at an RV park. I also would not risk a lengthy trip through a prohibitive state, either. A rental space seems the safest bet unless you have a friend that lives out west you could trust.
You might try attending a match at BRRC where there are several RVs parked and ask the shooters how they handle the issue.
Best of luck and safe travels.
