Just in case you missed it the High Power and Hunting Rifle Silhouette Regional will be at the club June 12-13, 2021. Please see the schedule to confirm the dates and times. If you go to www.steelchickens.com look under "Club house' and scroll down to the BRRC notice for the regional where you will find an entry form and program. Or if that is too complicated Call ME the match director and I'll get you the items. As a side-bar note: there is no more "cowboy lever gun"....the NRA stopped designating center fire rifle lever gun "cowboy"...it is simply Lever Gun Silhouette, the Pistol Cartridge Lever gun version is called "Pistol Cartridge Lever Gun" (catchy) and the 22 version is called (cleverly) "22 Lever Gun". The Lever Gun version is not being offered this year (2021)at the club for 2 very good reasons: 1) we don't have a proper range and 2) the attendance was dreadful. Folks, I understand that silhouette is difficult but achieving marksmanship always is. Silhouette is a game that will cultivate marksmanship and skill; it's where you will learn from your competitors and grow from the awareness that comes from the competition. You will learn to rely solely on your body's support, not a rest, or a sling, or a fence, or bi-pod. Come out and just try one of the games...you'll be glad you did. And whoever named this sport in this forum as "steel" silhouette was clueless.....it's sometimes referred to as metallic silhouette. Presumably the author was trying to distinguish it from photographic silhouettes..
